Wraith Side Quest and Alternate Costume!

Thanks for helping unlock this exciting new stretch goal: Wraith's sidequest and alternate costume! Here is a little more on what to expect from the stretch goal - written by Christopher himself...

F.I.L.T.E.R. (the Faction Intent on Limitless Takeover of Energy and Resources, of course) has information on the Sentinels of Freedom and all of their allies. They have the names and aliases of all these heroes, as well as their powers, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. They also keep records of their addresses - public and private - and even names and information of relatives, associates, and friends! This sort of information makes F.I.L.T.E.R. a terrible threat to the heroes, and F.I.L.T.E.R. has been selling chunks of this information to other villains and organizations. They have to be stopped.

In the mission, Wraith is sneaking through a F.I.L.T.E.R. facility. The odds she’ll be facing are overwhelming - she cannot hope to defeat all of these guards and defenses. You’ll have to help her figure out some other way to the main server room...

Costume

For this mission, Wraith will be using her stealth suit. It will give her bonuses to sneaking, avoiding detection, and being agile in combat, but it has little in the way of offensive capabilities, focusing instead on avoiding foes and taking advantage of her surroundings. When you successfully complete this F.I.L.T.E.R. sidequest, you gain access to Wraith’s stealth suit for the rest of the game.

Console Upgrade Option!

Get Sentinels of Freedom on PS4 and Xbox One! We are opening up an option to "upgrade" reward tiers of $30 or higher from PC/Mac to a choice of console (Xbox One or PS4). This upgrade will be listed as a $10 "Upgrade to Console" Add-On that you can pledge now to help the campaign. Your choice of system will be made in the final survey. 

We chose not to make this a stretch goal because we plan to release on all consoles regardless of funding level. We wanted our stretch goals to be actual stretch goals, not just a "to-do" chart. We have been a bit reserved in talking about releasing on consoles because of the approval process for platform releases. During this campaign, Nintendo Switch will not be provided as an upgrade option; although, we are confident the game will be available as we are authorized developers for the Nintendo Switch. 

Our previous game, Super Dungeon Tactics, will be releasing early summer on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch and we found through development that the gameplay with a controller was as good as, and in some cases better than, mouse and keyboard. Using our previous experience, and some new ideas, we will make sure Sentinels of Freedom plays fantastic regardless of platform.

New Reward Levels and Updated Stretch Goal Chart

We have been talking about the feedback we've received from PAX East and we wanted to address two things in particular for the Kickstarter. 

First, you all have a ton of great ideas for the game, including custom characters, and want to be active in development in any way you can. To help support this, we are opening up two new reward levels and add-ons: 

Iconic: Design an insignia to be used on custom characters. Depending on your costume choices, the insignias will be displayed on the characters in set locations like the chest or shoulder - though other options will be available. Your design will become part of the core game, so you will see it on gameplay footage and screenshots.

Techie: Design an accessory to use on your custom heroes! You want to have an eye patch or spiked gauntlets? Make it happen! Your influence will help provide more unique options for you and others when building custom heroes.

Both of these reward levels are also offered as an add-on in case you want to combine two reward levels. 

The second is that so many of you love Guise! The team decided they wanted to make sure he got in the game, so we moved the stretch goals for the three "additional heroes" up in the stretch goal chart. With your continued support and some extra time from the team, we can make this happen. This also allows us to squeeze in some more heroes to continue offering more squad options.

Physical Add-On?

There has been requests for a physical product in the Kickstarter so we came together as a team to discuss and thought about offering something a little different. Instead of a physical "copy" of the game, we thought it would be super cool to offer these very high quality miniatures as an add-on. 

 The figures would average around 2 1\2" - 3" tall with Bunker being larger yet. Because of the setup cost associated with an endeavor like this, we wanted to make sure there is enough interest before moving forward. 

Please note that the image shown is 3D render representing the concept and is not the actual product. Adjustments for manufacturing might need to be made. We are also planning a new pose for Wraith - but still an action pose. 

Estimated cost of this Add-On would be $200-225 plus shipping.
