Survey Update
about 8 years ago – Wed, May 09, 2018 at 09:53:21 PM

Hi, after talking with BackerKit, they need us to wait to send out the surveys until after Kickstarter is done processing the campaign (usually 14 days).  Sorry for the confusion, we are new to working with BackerKit.

Everything will be approved and ready to go on our end.  The date is looking like around the 19th of May for the survey.

Once the surveys are all complete, we will begin working with any individuals who have design options in their rewards.

Thanks again for everything.  The team is hard a work pushing towards our full Alpha build.  We will keep you posted on progress.

Combat Simulator!
about 8 years ago – Sat, May 05, 2018 at 02:03:12 AM

We are super excited about this unlock because the Combat Simulator adds new gameplay and provides a testing environment for changes to your custom hero and known heroes.

Through the Simulator, you can choose to do a Quick Play match separate from the campaign, providing a customized experience. Start by choosing a location and then setup the type of encounter you want. Matches can be small skirmishes all the way up to large full scale battles. Some locations will include objectives or environment actions. As you progress through the campaign, new options and locations will be unlocked.

During the campaign, the combat simulator provides the means to test out your heroes after you make changes or try a new hero that you may have unlocked. Using the simulator this way assures that you are fully prepared for the upcoming missions so you don't have to learn the hard way.

Here are some more specifics on what you can adjust in the Combat Simulator:

  • Hero Count
  • Environment
  • Encounter Map
  • Enemy Allegiance
  • Enemy Count per Rank (Minions/Lieutenants/Villains)
  • Mission Type Available
  • Environmental Challenges
  • Difficulty Settings

When an encounter is generated, there will be a number of potential spawn points. Based on the settings, each spawn point can have a variety of enemies to pull from called a spawn pool. There will be more spawn points than spawning enemies so between type of enemy and location, there will be a lot of variety and replayability to a single encounter.

With so many options, the Combat Simulator will be an amazing way to deliver some justice on your terms. We plan to continue evolving this awesome feature alongside the game to keep providing a challenging way to experience Sentinels Comics.
