It is very important to us that as you experience the Sentinels Comics universe through its many different forms - the card game, the RPG, the digital app, our game, and many others - there are common threads and experiences connecting each of the unique titles. We felt the music should be one of those common threads and we are pleased to announce our composer: Jean-Marc Giffin of Sentinels of the Multiverse The Video Game!
"It's a great honour to be chosen by Underbite games to do the music for the Sentinels of Freedom! We feel that continuity in the "Music of the Multiverse" is as important as all other aspects in the Sentinels Comics realm, and we are excited to bring some new musical elements to the world!” - Jean-Marc Giffin, Maestro of the Multiverse

By popular demand, the one and only Guise!

After the OblivAeon event, the hero known as Guise disappeared for some time. When he finally resurfaced, there were a lot of apparent differences in how he looked and the things he could do, but he was still definitely Guise.
In Sentinels of Freedom: Cold War, Guise will have to look deep inside himself to discover what it truly means to be a hero. We can’t share too much about his mission, as that would spoil many late game secrets, but rest assured, Guise is going to have a lot to wrap his mind around.
As a playable hero, Guise will be up to all his old tricks, including shapeshifting, wise-cracking, and even breaking the fourth wall, allowing him to manipulate elements of the game itself, from the UI, to the vigilance system - you never know what trouble Guise is going to cause next! He also has a pile of new tricks. Due to the power he gained from The Scholar during the OblivAeon event, Guise is able to not just shift his looks and his shape, but also transmute the matter of his form, taking on the properties of the things he is emulating. When Guise makes his fist into an anvil, it’s an anvil made of iron and packs a wallop. When he make a crystalline shield to stop an energy attack, it’s real crystal with reflecting and refracting properties. And when he turns himself into a huge dead fish, he smells awful. Why does he do these things? Only Guise knows.
Additional Archetype Available!

How do you want to play the game? Are you the first to the front lines with devastating physical attacks or do you like to bring down death from above? Your Archetype is the core to your gameplay experience and how you play the game.
When building a hero, along with selecting background, personality, and power source, you also choose archetype. Archetypes define the way the character uses their powers in combat and determines available themes and abilities. Choosing an archetype will define core stats such as health, action points, and movement. This choice also grants access to stance themes specific to that archetype, each with a collection of actions special to the theme.
Selecting "Armored" as your Archetype, for instance, may provide a massive bonus to your absorption, the attribute responsible for damage mitigation when hit. Armored could also provide themes like Multitask, which focuses on taking out multiple targets at once, or Defender, which allows the character to defend fellow heroes while still dealing single target damage.
So what about the stretch goal? Well, the stretch goal of "Additional Archetype" once again allows for a more customized experience. Now you can choose two archetypes that will both influence your hero.
For instance, if you had the "Armored" archetype you could add "Flyer" as your secondary archetype. Your hero will not only get access to flight during combat but also many abilities and stats unique to the "Flyer" archetype - such as "Death from Above" an ability providing a massive physical attack that ignores cover. Flyer abilities could also complement some Armored abilities by granting line of sight bonus and removing terrain penalties - improving mobility for a typically slower character.
Through this system we can get some very interesting combos like Gadgeteer + Minion Maker or Marksman + Support, the choice is up to you.
Our designers and developers will be focusing on making sure that these hybrid archetypes offer a great deal of customization while still creating unique and meaningful heroes. We want to be very careful not to create generic omnipotent characters that take away from your hero squad and your hero's identity.
The game will feature 10-12 unique archetypes - plus a few that may work their way in - each providing a set of abilities. Combined with other hero creation choices, your custom hero will be able to bring something new to the Sentinels Universe.
New Hero Unlocked: Setback!

Things are moving forward swiftly and we are proud to announce Setback will be added to the game's initial launch! Here is a teaser for the mission and sketch of Setback's new look!
Later in the game, the heroes will meet a villain who creates numerous traps and snares and excels in evading capture. They can stop the plots of this villain, but they’d have to be awfully lucky to get their hands on him. Unfortunately for the villain, he’s about to stumble across someone who can turn the tables when the odds are against him.
The hero Setback is no stranger to threatening situations. Outnumbered? Overwhelmed? Outgunned? Outclassed? Sounds like his kind of party. The riskier the mission, the more he’ll shine. Sure, he’s going to slip up now and again… and again… but when the chips are down, Setback will be more than just a change from better to worse.
